Gauge is the measurement unit for thickens of metals. The smaller the gauge the thicker
the metal. For example, 16 gauge stainless steel sinks are thicker than 18 gauge
stainless steel sinks which in turn more durable and rigid.
There are sellers out there claiming their sinks are made of 15 gauge stainless steel, please beware
that there is NO 15 gauge stainless steel in this world because metalworking companies don't fabricate
odd numbered stainless steel sheet metal. It is absolutely false advertising if any companies claim their
stainless steel sinks are 15 gauge in thickness.
